This image was fun to do! Melanie suggested flashing and I had to find a location for that. Mind you it's Sunday morning and I didn't want to offend too many tourists/church goers, which there are plenty of both in Old Town Alexandria, so I take Melanie to the old train tunnel that is now a pedestrian path. Since it was still early, there were not too many people out and about. I stopped a guy riding by on his bike and asked him if he would mind be flashed. He had absolutely no problem with it and we got this shot. I forgot to ask his name, but I am ever so grateful for his help. And thanks to Melanie for the idea and the cool purple coat. I really like the colors in this image.

California Dreaming
I had a house guest from California this weekend. I've shot with Michael Freeby before. This time, it was not a big production, just some simple shots with minimal props.

Landscape Photo Walk 2/13/11
It was warm enough to go on another walk. Today I decided to park in Rosslyn and walk over the Key Bridge.
I've actually never walked over the Key Bridge. It's a nice walk, I encountered a lot of kids from Georgetown on the bridge. I'm curious as to why they leave Georgetown to go into boring Rosslyn. I would think Georgetown has a lot more going on then Rosslyn. The railing is rather low, I guess there's not too many jumpers from this bridge.
Here's a view of the same boat house from the ground with the Key Bridge in the background.
And this I found along the walk. It's what happens when chalk explodes. I love to see the way man interacts with nature.
One of the first places I remember seeing when coming to Virginia from Maryland was this church with a gas station underneath it. It's hard to see but there's a gas station in there. It was my roommate Gary's favorite building and he pointed it out to me.

Here's the Whitehurst Freeway.
Georgetown is famous for it's rowing. Here's a view of one of the boat houses from the bridge.
